Wu-Tang Clan has signed with Bodog Music to release their upcoming The 8 Diagrams in Europe. The album is set to come out in Germany on September 7 and will be release for the rest of Europe on the September 10.All eight original members are featured on the album, except for ODB, but the album does feature some unreleased vocals from the late rapper that were recorded on the groups’ first album. The group plans to sing a tribute song to ODB called “Life Changes.”
Bodog Music founder, Calvin Ayre and Wu-Tang’s international rep, Eva Ries had this to say, “This is really what Bodog Music is all about: hip hop at its highest, with the Wu-Tang Clan being the widely respected and revered group that they are, and Bodog’s international music distribution expertise, the potential of this relationship in unlimited. Wu-Tang Clan still ain’t nothing to fuck with.”
The RZA commented on Ayre by saying, “The RZA himself has called upon his Wu-Tang brothers to reunite and show the real unity and raw force of hip-hop. How can hip hop be dead if Wu-Tang is forever?” Wu-Tang will be joining the Rock the Bells Festival this summer performing with heavyweights Rage Against the Machine, The Roots and others.
