DMX, born Earl Simmons, has missed two consecutive court dates and has been issued a second bench warrant for his arrest stemming from traffic violations. In the first offense, dating back to last June, police officers allege that DMX was speeding, changing lanes, driving recklessly without a seatbelt and carrying a suspended license. DMX lawyer Murray Richman stated that his client was in Arizona during the original court date, but after X again failed to show up the following day, Judge Brain Hansbury issued a warrant for X’s arrest. The bond is set at $25,000.
DMX was also due in the Yonkers City court on a charge of driving on a suspended license from October 6 2006. Judge Charles Wood issued a bench warrant for his arrest as well.
