September 7, 2007 - For fans in New Zealand that already had to deal with a postponed show, it was a real kick in the proverbial “balls” when one of the headliners didn’t make it to “Rock Tha Block.” Akon had some trouble getting into Australia (are we surprised?), so the show took place two weeks later than originally scheduled.
Other acts were Naughty by Nature, Pitbull and Sisqo. Fans are upset that The Game wasn’t there, but also that concert organizers didn’t give those attending any valid or reasonable explanation.
Considering that no one in the press is really sure where The Game is right now, it’s not unreasonable to believe that Roc Tha Block organizers were clueless as to his whereabouts anyway. While the concert wasn’t close to selling out, the other acts that did perform extended their sets in an attempt to make up for The Game. There was no official explanation given at press time.
