Scion has recently started a month long competition, “The Prospect,” for unsigned emcees to get a chance at living their dream of becoming the next big thing in the game. The competition that started on April 9th calls for emcees to submit their hottest song to Scion Prospect in order to get that opportunity to be the next Prospect. Judges for the competition include: executive editor of The Source, Ryan Ford; Def Jam’s Vice President of Artist & Repertoire, Lenny S; and Hi-Tek. A winner will be selected some time in July and will begin working on a song with Hi-Tek and begin production on a music video produced by Scion. The artist’s song and video will be launched online through a currently unspecified outlet.
