Q-tip of the legendary hip hop group A Tribe Called Quest hasn’t been working independently for a few years now. This is about to change with his next album, The Renaissance. A single from this album, “WorkItOut”, will be released on July 4th from his Myspace account. Q-Tip hasn’t been in the press too much lately, but he has done work with Busta, RZA, Rhymefest and even Mariah Carey. Q-Tip had some words to share about his new single, stating that it’s a “feel-good song, thought-provoking, dance-friendly, and last but not least hip hop.” After getting a taste this week look for The Renaissance to drop in October.
