This release will be the first in over a decade for Kool & the Gang. In the album, Still Kool, the R&B legends team up with the energetic singer Jirmad Gordon. They found him through Robert “Kool” Bell’s son, Hakim Bell, whom also wrote on the album and contributes as a producer and rapper. Kool & The Gang has been sampled many times by different artists, one popular case being DJ Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince on the track “Summertime” back in ‘91.
