The Commissioner of the NBA (National Basketball Association) David Stern has announced that the league will open an office in London as part of its ongoing effort to expand the game around the globe and develop a fan base throughout Europe. The office will focus on basketball development leading up to the 2012 Olympic games and will work closely with the British Olympic Association to help grow the world’s second most popular sport in the region. London will host a pre-season game on October 10, between the Boston Celtics and Minnesota Timberwolves as part of NBA Europe Live presented by EA Sports.by Lucas DiGia & Robby Uppal
