It’s hard to tell if this is a good or a bad thing, but certainly P’s people describe the delay as part of an effort to “give participants the best conference possible.” That’s slick-speak for “we’re not ready yet.” But that’s OK as long as they aren’t postponing an eventual cancellation. The We Got Next Summit, if you didn’t see the last coverage, is a gathering at Howard University to bring together artists and producers and discuss accountability in hip hop’s lyrics. It seems to be another part of the recent push for reflection into the meaning of hip hop’s message. There aren’t any new dates for the summit, but the dates will be some time in August.By Lucas DiGia Robby Uppal
