VH1 will air, Last Days of Left Eye, a documentary on the TLC rapper. The documentary will feature footage from unreleased home videos, photos and from archival footage that Lopes ironically commissioned during the last 30 days of her life.
Footage from Honduras documents nearly up to the exact moment of the car accident that took the then 30-year-old artist’s life. She was the only casualty in an SUV with 6 other passengers.
This week marks the fifth anniversary of the death of Lopes. She would have turned 36 on May 27th. VH1 and VH1 Soul will debut the documentary on May 19th at 9 p.m. EST.
