Brooklyn has an outstanding hip hop tradition - one that Junk Science isn’t about to break. With a smooth hoppy blend of flowing wit, creativity, and adept beats, DJ Snafu and Baje One released their debut, Feeding Einstein, in early 2005.
The duo’s sophomore effort, a Def Jux/Embedded Music collaboration entitled Gran’dad’s Nerve Tonic, hit the shelves on October 23. That day the duo opened for Del tha Funkee Homosapien and Devin the Dude at Ann Arbor’s Blind Pig. Before the show, Drop hooked up with Junk Science to discuss growing up making music, their Nuclear Family and Gran’dad’s Imperial Red cross-branding strategy.
