July 18, 2007 - Smirnoff has launched a global search for 10 individuals to take part in its new Smirnoff Experience Program. “Smirnoff Vodka is looking for hip hop heads,” said Isabelle McDonnell, Senior Brand Manager of Smirnoff. The Smirnoff Experience will take the “Smirnoff Ten” around the world to visit cities that marked significant milestones in the company’s history. The 10 lucky jetsetters will document the experience through short films, blogs, photos and other media.

“The winner will join nine other people chosen from other countries to take a year long journey to sample and report on urban nightlife around the world, including some of the huge events that Smirnoff will be sponsoring. This is a once in a lifetime experience for a true lover of hip hop to explore how it’s done all over the world.”

Smirnoff wants writers, reporters and editors who have knowledge of hip hop, as well as people who have experience working within the nightlife industry [DJ’s, promoters]. The outing begins in the brand’s birthplace in Russia on September 29. The team will be featured on Smirnoff’s YouTube branded channel throughout the year.
