There has been a new category added to the annual Forbes celebrity Top 100 list: hip hop impresarios. Topping that category is Jay-Z, a veteran in the game with not only stellar record production but also the Rocawear line of clothing and a stake in the NJ Nets. These and other ventures netted him 83 million dollars last year, putting him at number 9 on the power rank chart, beating out the likes of Donald Trump, Howard Stern, Kobe Bryant and 50 Cent. The power ranking is comprised of the pay ranking, as well as the person’s presence on the web, press, and television. Topping this list is of course Oprah Winfrey with a reported income of $260 million dollars. Tiger woods broke records this year for being the first athlete in history to earn $100 million in a single year (with Nike’s help of course).
