We want to thank everyone who came out to the Blind Pig last Friday for the dropmagazine.com Launch Party and first installment of the “dropmagazine.com Presents…” concert series. The show was a ton a fun, and we were happy to be a part of something special. All the acts did their thing. Finale and Buff1 opened up for Black Milk and Slum Village. Ab and the Souljourners backed up SV for part of their set, and Fat Ray and Phat Kat provided verses on Black Milk’s “Sound of the City.” If you are reading this, and these names all sound foreign to you, you need to stop sleeping on Detroit hip hop!
For all those that are disappointed they couldn’t make it out, there is some good news. We are currently working on setting up some more “dropmagazine.com presents…” shows in the near future. We’ll keep you posted as everything is finalized.
