For the past 15 years, Miami based DJ Khaled has been wowing crowds with his charisma and signature catch-phrase ‘listennn’. A regular feature on illegal underground radio stations, the Terror Squad DJ has, at various times in his career, gone by the monikers of “The Arab Attack” (discontinued shortly after September 11, 2001), “Big Dog Pitbull”, “Terror Squadian”, “The Beat Novocain”, “The Don Dada” and “Mr. Miami” - although most listeners still know him as DJ Khaled. Khaled’s sophomore album, “We the Best” is slotted for a Summer 2007 release and features Akon, T.I., Lil’ Wayne, Birdman, Fat Joe, and Rick Ross.
DJ Khaled sits down to talk about his new album, why he’s taking over the game, the Scott Storch Timbaland beef, and why he thinks the state of hip hop is ‘great’. Special thanks to jumpoff.tv for putting this together.
