DJ Hi-Tek

July 16, 2007 - Standing as one of the best minds in hip hop, Hi-Tek has been orchestrating hits since day one. Back in that day, on then up and coming Rawkus Records, he and Talib Qweli hit the spot with Reflection Eternal’s Train of Thought. Since then, Hi-Tek has not experienced the same commercial success as former Rawkus labelmates Mos Def and Talib Qweli. Hi-Tek is seeking the new management, as he says, because his current manager (Zach Katz) was a lawyer first and a manager second. Hi-Tek says, “we got money together, but he really don’t know how to build an artist.” He hopes to improve his career under new management with Sha Money XL of Money Management Group. Hi-Tek hopes to revitalize his career and make a new name for himself. He’s not only working on his newest album, Hi-Tecknology 3, but he also has a new fall project in the soundtrack for a documentary called Mr. Untouchable. He is also contributing to Dr. Dre’s (supposedly) upcoming Detox.
