Common, who is gearing up for the release of his 7th album Finding Forever, has spent the past few months filming Wanted, a comic-book adaptation based on the graphic novel by Mark Millar, with Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie. Speaking with Northern Ireland’s Belfast Telegraph he stated, “It was an incredible experience. I had some of the best lessons working with Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy. He is an incredible actor and real cool. Angelina is one of the best people, she’s a good soul and very gifted.” The movie revolves around a white-collar worker (McAvoy) who discovers he is the son of the most evil super villain on Earth. When his father is assassinated, he inherits the dead mans powers and begins life among the other super villains (Freeman, Jolie and Common). Common plays the Gunsmith, an assassin who has an unparalleled knowledge of firearms and is enlisted to help train and transform McAvoy’s character into one of the world’s most deadliest hit men. Wanted is due out in 2008 and his new album, Finding Forever hits stores July 31st.
