July 20, 2007 - Busta Rhymes turned down his second opportunity to take a plea bargain for his recent legal trouble. Busta’s built up a diverse portfolio of assault and traffic charges over the past year, resulting in the scheduling of four separate trials. Prosecutor’s tried to have the assault trials combined but that isn’t going to work for Busta because he has desperate defense arguments for each assault charge. Exactly what these arguments are is unclear, but his lawyer is accusing police of arresting Busta for one of the assault charges as retaliation for Busta not cooperating in the investigation of his bodyguard’s murder.
