Notorious BIG

There are a few infamous murders within our society but none bigger in the world of hip hop then that of Notorious B.I.G. (Christopher Wallace) and 2 Pac (Tupac Shakur). For ten years now, there have been no answers. Nobody has confessed and no one has been charged. However, the family of Notorious B.I.G has filed a second wrongful death lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles, alleging that former rogue police officers working at the time, Rafael Perez and his ex-partner Nino Durden were to blame for the murder and the subsequent cover up. The lawsuit alleges that at the time of the death, Rafael Perez was working for Death Row Records, owned at the time by Marion “Suge” Knight. Knight has consistently denied any involvement in the killing.

The Wallace family’s first lawsuit was filed in 2005 but ended in a mistrial when it was discovered that a police detective intentionally hid statements made by a jailhouse informant linking the killing to Perez and (former) officer David Mack.
