July 18, 2007 - As reported in the Montgomery Advertiser, Patrick Monfiston from P Entertainment Promotions has filed a suit against Plies, his manager David Gay, and ISA Bomb Entertainment. This is over a July 8th show that Plies was allegedly paid for but did not attend. This comes after Plies made comments about Monfiston in a radio interview on WZHT Hot105 just the day after. These “not so flattering” comments were coupled with a statement about the event. Plies claimed he was never paid for the performance, and that the concert attendees should all be refunded.
In the lawsuit Monfiston claims that he has proof of a $5000 wire transfer to ISA, as well as a receipt for another $1500 deposit into Plies bank account. If the money was transferred, it should be easy to seek restitution. The confusing part is that the radio station and station manager are also named in the suit. Monfiston is suing for damages, but it is not clear if these are only damages related to the no-show or also the comments made over the radio. Monfiston also warns that if Plies attempts to perform in the Montgomery area that he will have Plies arrested.
