50 cent fanatics can now breath a sigh of relief - it was just the platform he was lowered in on that caused him to forget the first verse to “Amusement Park” at the 2007 BET Awards. Rumors circulated that he might be pulling an “Ashley Simpson” (though there wasn’t any square dancing) with a prerecorded track. 50 put these and other rumors to bed on BET’s 106 N’ Park, where he said, “When I prepared the performance, we went through the run-through and it just went totally different from what I actually got the chance to do.” He even goes on to mention that there’s footage of the rehearsal showing him performing the beginning of the song correctly. “It wasn’t planned for me to take my hat or my jacket off,” 50 says, also mentioning that during the intro he almost fell off the twenty-five foot platform. This near fall apparently ruined his focus (how many times you been shot at 50?). 50 Cent made sure to give the 106 N’ and Park crowd the proper performance.by Lucas DiGia & Robby Uppal
